Competition: Spring Exhibition 2027 (Members Only)
The theme for the 2027 Spring Photography Competition is:
“The Paths We Take”
Members have several months to explore this theme, giving plenty of time to discover, capture and create images that reflect “The Paths We Take” in their own unique way.
As before, competition images will be displayed individually in simple, glassless frames. This allows judging to focus solely on the quality, creativity and presentation of the photographs themselves, rather than the influence of framing or display.
Printed photographs may have a small border around the image, with a maximum width of 6mm. This is because the frames may slightly crop the image if the subject is positioned close to the edges.
Rules
- Entries are open to Le DéClic Luchaptais members only.
- Photographs must have been taken between Saturday 4th April 2026 and Sunday 10th April 2027.
- Maximum 3 entries per person.
- Photographs must be printed in A4 format, with a border of no more than 6mm.
- Deadline for online image and EXIF information submission: Sunday 11th April 2027.
- Deadline for printed photograph submission: Friday 16th April 2027 (the last club meeting before the Spring Exhibition).
Digital copies of the images must be emailed to:
before Sunday 11th April 2027, together with the following information:
- Title of each photograph
- Date and location where the photograph was taken
- Photographer’s name
- Camera make and model
- EXIF details:
- Aperture
- Shutter Speed
- ISO
- Focal Length

- 1st, 2nd and 3rd places overall
Public Vote
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd places overall
Depending on the number of black and white entries received, an additional Black & White Award may be introduced. This will be confirmed nearer the competition.
Certificates will be awarded for all winning places. However, only the first-place winners in each category will receive a €10 Le DéClic Luchaptais printing voucher.
