For May 2026, the club’s monthly photography challenge explored the theme “Still Life”, inviting members to discover the artistic potential of everyday objects. Still life photography captures ordinary subjects, transforming them into engaging and often thought-provoking images through careful observation and creativity.
The challenge allowed members to exercise complete control over composition, lighting, and mood, making it an ideal medium for artistic expression and visual storytelling. Through thoughtful arrangement and creative still life techniques, members created images that conveyed emotion, symbolism, cultural significance, and personal narratives.
Participants experimented with a wide variety of objects, backgrounds, textures, and lighting styles, exploring how colour, shape, balance, and perspective influenced the final photograph.
